Waiting

Things happen in real time, not instantly. Learning to wait, or to be patient is one of the harder things in life. Time is finite for each of us.

For some things such as learning, it makes senses that it takes time. For other things such as applications to the government for some benefit, support, or ruling, it does not make sense that time is spent there. Automation now days should be able to resolve the issue much quicker, but when you go to get a driver's license and it is an all-day affair due to paperwork, you question the value.

I do get impatient. It doesn't happen unless there is an element of uncertainty though. Meaning you do not know the end result of what you are waiting for. Especially if there is a significant chance that the end result will be negative or my investment will be waisted.

I think this means that I do not prefer chance and from other habits in my life I suspect that is the case. I do not gamble, play poker or bet on things. (I've been told that I have a bad poker face regardless.)

I wish I could wait better. Right now, I am waiting for news for something for almost 2 years. The result of which will be life changing.

Hopefully I do not have to wait much longer.
